Betty Sue Sheffield

June 14, 1916 — March 4, 2007

She was born and reared in Chester County, the Chickasaw Park Area, the daughter of the late Robert E. Lee Ligon and Anna Mozelle Newman Ligon Malone. She attended Chester County Schools. She worked at Salant & Salant as a young lady. She was married to Elmo Sheffield in 1964 and they made their home in Henderson. She worked at I Appeal Corp. and Piggly Wiggly in the Deli Department. She had made her home with her friend and companion Thomas Lott for the past eleven years.



She is survived by a son Jeff Sheffield and his wife Angie of Pinson; three grandchildren; her companion Thomas Lott; a brother, Robert Edward Ligon of Columbus, GA; and three sisters, Ann Dodd, Virginia Cox and Dorothy Cupples all of Henderson.
