Betty Jane Scott was born on August 9, 1934 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Glen Gilbert and Bessie Phillips Ratliff.
On May 10, 1952, she was united in marriage to Paul Ray Scott, who preceded his wife in death on December 23, 2001.
Betty worked for Aqua Glass doing tub repair for 15 years. She attended Saltillo Baptist Church in Saltillo, Tennessee before moving to Morrison, Tennessee 3 years ago. Betty enjoyed quilting.
Betty Jane Scott departed this life on January 3, 2022 in Morrison, Tennessee at the age of 87 years, 4 months, and 25 days.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Terry and her husband Robert of Morrison, Tennessee; brothers, Danny Ratliff of Lexington, Tennessee, Jimmy Ratliff of McDonough, Georgia, and Jackie Ratliff of McCalla, Alabama; sisters, Martha Conaway and Darlene Terry, both of Morris Chapel, Tennessee and Judy Wilkinson of Florence, Alabama; 9 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her sons, Paul Larry Scott and Glenn Garrett Scott; daughter, Rhonda Sue Wallin; sister, Emily Keenum; and great granddaughter, Krista Terry.
