BETTY SUE QUALLS
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on July 26, 2019 the daughter of the late Gulmer and Artie Christine Highland Benson.
On June 20, 1968 she was united in marriage to R L Qualls, who survives.
Betty was a homemaker and was a lifetime member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ. She loved kids and could be found every afternoon at the Walnut Grove School handing our candy to every student that got on the bus. Giving her the name "Candy Lady". Betty spent numerous hours volunteering her time to kids, the elderly or just about anyone that needed her help. She would a lot of times put everyone else needs before her own. Betty was the mom that everyone needed, she was not only her own kids biggest fan, but countless other children in the Walnut Grove area.
She departed this life on July 29, 2019 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 69 years and 3 days.
In addition to her husband of 51 years, R L Qualls, she is survived by her children, Lynn Qualls and Wendy Qualls, both of Savannah, Tennessee; her soon to be son-in-law, Scottie White; grandchild, Lakelynn Lindsey; great grandchildren, Tatum Qualls, Ryder Lindsey and Kinsley Lindsey; brother, Curtis Benson and his wife Kathy of Florence, Alabama; brother in law, Alton Vinson of Savannah, Tennessee; and sisters in law, Joyce Scott and her husband Pete of Savannah, Tennessee and Shirley Benson and her husband Danny of Savannah, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Benny Loyd Benson, Anderson "Rod" Benson and James Elvin Benson and one sister, Barbara Faye Vinson.
