Betty Ann McClain

Betty Ann McClain was born January 17, 1954 in Memphis, TN the daughter of the late Robert Daniel and Thelma Joel Pickens Kirk.

She was united in marriage to Rickey McClain in 1989.

Betty was formerly employed as a production worker. She enjoyed attending gospel singings, auctions, and cake walks. Betty also enjoyed fishing, but her first and greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was a very generous person to all who knew her. Betty was a member of the Pleasant Site Baptist Church.

Betty departed this life on September 9, 2016 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 62 Years, 7 Months, 23 Days. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Rickey McClain of Selmer, TN; two sons, Brad McClain and Adam McClain, both of Selmer, TN; two daughters, Regina Wiles and Christy Harmon, both of Selmer, TN, a special daughter, Angie Newman and husband Shannon of Selmer, TN; nine grandchildren: Caleb McClain, Mason McClain, Jacob McClain, Alex Wiles, Paige Wiles, Tyler Henry and fiancee Savannah Foster, Taylor Harmon, Trenae Newman, Elijah Newman; three brothers: Charles Kirk of Bethel Springs, TN, David Kirk of Selmer, TN, Joel Kirk and wife Sherry of Adamsville, TN; two sisters, Rose Moore and husband Dean of Summersville, SC and Sue Montgomery and husband Tommy of Bethel Springs, TN; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by three brothers, Phillip Kirk, Jerry Kirk, and Richard Kirk.
