Betty Joan Massey, age 80, passed away on February 20, 2020 at 9:05 am in her home in McDonough, Georgia.
On September 14, 1968 she was united in marriage to Robert L. Massey, who survives.
Born in Springfield, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Susan Teasley. Betty graduated from Savannah High School in Savannah, Tennessee. She was employed at Southern Reid Optical as a lab technician for 20 years in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Betty will be remembered for her love of the outdoors, and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert L Massey of McDonough, Georgia; sons, Ben Tyler (Melinda Jones) of Savannah, Tennessee, John T. Massey (Marcia Massey) of McDonough, Georgia, and Andy Massey (Veronica Massey) of Jackson, Georgia; grandchildren, Jacob Paul Tyler, Dustin Lee Massey, Vallery Lee Massey, Michael Andy Massey, Brady Lee Massey and Ethan Andy Massey; and brother, Joe Teasley of Springfield, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her twin daughters, Susan and Ruby Massey, one sister, Nancy Teasley Watts and two brothers, Jim Teasley and Bob Teasley.
On September 14, 1968 she was united in marriage to Robert L. Massey, who survives.
