Betty Lou Prater Stricklin was born on September 26, 1937 in Steele, Missouri, the daughter of the late George and Ethel Doyle Prater.
On October 3, 1956, she was united in marriage to James "Jim" Franklin Stricklin, who preceded his wife in death on October 2, 2023.
Betty enjoyed spending her spare time sewing, gardening, cooking, spending time with her family, and attending family reunions. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clifton, Tennessee.
Betty Lou Prater Stricklin departed this life on May 26, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 86 years and 8 months.
She is survived by her daughters, Angela Gammill and Melonie Martillo; brother, Larry Prater; sister, Villa Sue Holder; grandchildren, Jamie Gammill, Justin Pickett, Jenna Gammill, Jordan Gammill, and Jessica Packwood; and great grandchildren, Addalynn Gammill, Canon Pickett, Isaac Gammill, and Oliver Pickett.
In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by her siblings, Dorthy Dent, Harold Prater, and Glen Prater.
