Betty Lou Hicks

Betty Lou Barrett Hicks of Bethel Springs. She was born in Bells, TN on March 22, 1959 the daughter of the late Clifford Barrett and Howard Farnklin York and Annie Lou York. She departed this life on December 24, 2024 in Bethel Springs, TN at the age of 65 Years, 9 Months, 2 Days.

Betty was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was the rock of the family and very strong caregiver of the family. She was there at the bedside of 9 members of her family until the Lord called them home on there last breath. She helped with the arrangments of those family members. As the matriarch she kept the family together.

Betty was the sweetest woman you could ever meet. She worked in Nursing all the way up until she became disabled. She enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows. You had better not bother her while football was on Sunday's. 

She is survived by a daughter, Ruby Ann Hicks King of Bethel Springs, TN; sister, Florence E. Mitchell of Bethel Springs, TN, brother, Johnny E. Plunk of Bethel Springs, TN; three step children, and eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Hicks; and daughter, Jessica Lynn Hicks Robinson.
