Betty Howell

Betty Howell, 77, of Middleton, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021, at Bolivar General Hospital.

A native of Bolivar, she was born Sunday, December 5, 1943, daughter of the late Ernest Leroy Howell and Vera Mae Doyle Howell and lived in Whiteville for a while prior to moving to Middleton. She worked for 20 years as a seamstress for MasterSlack and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sisters, Shirley Mayes of Bolivar and Barbara McKee of Middleton; four brothers, Samuel Doyle of College Park, MD, Harold Howell and Ricky Howell, both of Middleton and Roger Howell of Monterey, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gaines Richard Doyle and Kenneth Howell, and her longtime companion, Ray Thompson.
