Betty Hosey

BETTY LOCKE HOSEYwas born in Tishomingo County, Mississippi on January 14, 1939 the daughter of the late Elmer and Virgie Cresap Locke.On November 15, 1958 she was united in marriage to Hardin Hosey, who survives.Ms. Hosey was a homemaker. She was a member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church. She was a former resident of Yazoo County, Mississippi, Louisville, Kentucky, Owenton, Kentucky, Campbellsville, Kentucky, Buffalo, Kentucky and Marion, Kentucky. She has lived in Savannah since June of 1999. Ms. Hosey loved to sew, embroidery and cross stitch and she loved to cook and do birdwatching.She departed this life on July 29, 2008 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 15 days.Other than her husband, Hardin of Savannah, Tennessee she is survived by one daughter, Sandy Arnold of Campbellsville, Kentucky.2 sons, Jim Hosey of Livingston, Tennessee and Gene Hosey of Washington, D. C. 2 grandchildren, Beth Hosey and Charlie Arnold2 sisters, Marie Lynch of Iuka, Mississippi and Lucy Welch of Bartlett, Tennessee2 brothers, Lauren Locke of Savannah, Tennessee and D. W. (Curly) Locke of Iuka, MississippiMs. Hosey was also preceded in death by one infant brother and one infant sister.
