Betty Jean Holland Horton

Betty Jean Holland Horton of Collinwood, TN was born January 15, 1943 in Phil Campbell , AL, the daughter of the late Lester O'Neal and Emma Jean Brooks Holland. She was united in marriage to Floyd Allen Horton on February 23, 1963 and he preceded her in death on August 10, 2019.

Mrs. Horton was a homemaker, artist, seamstress, crafter and involved with Horton Enterprises. She was a member of the Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Cypress Inn, Tennessee.

Mrs. Horton departed this life on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at her home at the age of 79 Years, 9 Months, 24 Days.

She is survived by daughters, Tracie Leigh Horton and Nanette Darlene Horton Lassiter both of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Cody Horton, Joshua Lassiter, Kimberly Sivils, Dean Patterson and Katherine Lassiter; a brother, Dwight O'Neal (Joe) Holland of Memphis, TN.

Services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Cypress Inn, Tennessee, with Earl Rich officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.

Visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2022 from 11 am to service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be Dean Patterson, Cody Horton, Josh Lassiter, Scott Lassiter, Donnie Young and Joe Hanback.
