Services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Bethel Grove Methodist Church in Florence, Alabama, with Dennis Hanvey, Greg Eaton and Robert Marks officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Berry Cemetery , Florence, Alabama with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 27 from 6:00 pm residence of 101 William Holt Road , Iron City, TN. The body will lie in state from 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 28 until service time at Bethel Grove Church, Florence, Ala.
Mrs. Holt departed this life on Monday, January 26, 2009 at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama at the age of 66 Years, 8 Months, 1 Day. She was born May 25, 1942 in Lauderdale County, Alabama the daughter of the late Jessie Morris and Wyoldean Marie Williams Valentine. Mrs. Betty was a factory worker and homemaker and member of Bethel Berry Church.
She was united in marriage to Raymond Delton Holt on December 22, 1959.
She is survived by her husband Raymond Delton Holt of Iron City, TN; daughter, Regina (Holt) Lawson and husband Johnny of Iron City, TN; a son, Timothy Holt and wife Jan of Collinwood, TN;
grandchildren; Joey; Chris; Alicia and Tyler
