Betty Holmes

Betty Holmes was born August 24, 1933 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee the daughter of the late Ova Alvin and Eula Pina Patterson Young.She was united in marriage to R. L. Holmes on June 4, 1949.Mrs. Holmes was a Teacher's Assistant 15 years with the McNairy County School System. She was also a homemaker. Mrs. Holmes was a member of the Adamsville Church Of Christ. She was a Blue Grass player and a painter. She loved her family and friends.She departed this life on June 16, 2007 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 9 Months, 23 Days. Mrs. Holmes is survived by her husband of 58 years, R. L. Holmes of Adamsville, Tennessee; two daughters, Judy Darlene Null and husband Fulton of Selmer, Tennessee, Joy Daphene Gray and husband John Keith also of Selmer, Tennessee; two sisters, Wilma Sue Plunk of Bethel Springs, Tennessee and Bobbie Ann Latta of Selmer, Tennessee; one brother, Lloyd Hayse Young of Selmer, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Stacy Lee Null, Timothy Michael Null and wife Amy, Joshua Stone Gray and wife Tiffany, Joy Keesha York and husband Kevin, and Lindsay Rachel Null; four great grandchildren, Tucker Stone Gray, Garrett Michael Null, Jacob Keith York and John Steven York.
