Betty Sue Elam

Betty Sue Elam of Guys, TN departed this life on July 27, 2019 in Memphis, TN at the age of 88 Years, 7 Months, 27 Days. She was born on November 30, 1930 the daughter of the late Terry and Velma Nichols Elam. She was united in marriage to A. W. Elam who preceded her in death on February 20, 1999.

Mrs. Elam attended New Hope United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing and trips to the mountains. Most of all, she loved her family and the various family functions that would bring them all together.

She is survived by three daughters, Judy Moore of Michie, TN, Patsy Britton and husband Carmon of Michie, TN, Donna Williams and husband Andrew of Burnsville, MS; two sons, Danny R. Elam and wife Coy of Selmer, TN, Ricky Elam of Guys, TN; five grandchildren, Dana Elam Jones and husband Shawn of Selmer, TN, Tara Wilburn and husband Brian of Guys, TN, Kimberly Murphy and husband Wes of Henderson, TN, Drew Williams and wife Nichole of Saltillo, MS, Lauren Steele and husband Jonathan of Ramer, TN; five great grandchildren, Ivy Wilburn, Gavin Wilburn, Elam Murphy, Erby Anne Murphy, Anderson Williams; a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Elam was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin (Jab) Elam, and a son-in-law, Doyle Moore.
