Betty E. Dodd

Betty E. Daniel Dodd of Collinwood, TN was born March 29, 1932 in Nashville, TN, the daughter of the late Fannie Daniel McWilliams. She was united in marriage to Daniel Dodd on June 21, 1944 and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2000.Mrs. Dodd was a retired waitress and cook. She was a member of the Williams Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, Iron City, Tennessee and the Holly Creek FCE.Mrs. Dodd departed this life on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at her home at the age of 81 Years, 2 Months, 1 Day.She is survived by sons, Danny James Dodd of Collinwood, TN and Thomas Allen Dodd of Vancouver, Canada; daughters, Betty Jean Horton and husband, Jerry of Collinwood, TN and Janice Diane Thompson and husband, Larry of Iron City, TN; 5 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren. In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Dodd was preceded in death by a son, David Lemuel Dodd; a sister, Claudette Butler; and a grandson, Darrell Horton.Services will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 5:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with James T. Turnbow officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.
