Betty Collinswas born in Wayne County, Tennessee on December 18, 1948 the daughter of Edna Mae Matthews Lockard and the late George Alvin Lockard.On November 10, 1967 she was united in marriage to Charles Vernon Collins of Adamsville, Tennessee, who survives.Mrs. Collins had lived in the McNairy County, Tennessee area and worked at Harbert Hills Academy as a CNA. She had pastored at Trinity Full Gospel Church at Morris Chapel, Tennessee. She was a hard worker and a dedicated wife and mother. She loved her church and was always willing to help others, never complaining. Mrs. Collins departed this life on Monday, August 18, 2008 at the age of 59 years, 8 months.In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Collins is survived by 4 sons: Tony Collins, Allen Collins both of Adamsville, Tennessee, Keith Collins, and Jason Collins both of Savannah, Tennessee; 3 brothers: George Alvin Lockard, Jr. of Waynesboro, Tennessee, Gary Lockard and Fred Lockard both Hazel Park, Michigan; 5 sisters: Barbara Rossiter Of Taylor, Michigan, Wanda Kemp of Adamsville, Tennessee, Deborah Farris, Patricia Stollings both of Hazel Park, Michigan, and Elizabeth Williams of Atlanta, Georgia; 9 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
