Betty Mae Bradley

Betty Mae Byrd Bradley of Waynesboro, TN was born May 7, 1930 in Lawrenceburg, TN, the daughter of the late George Byrd and Bertha Spann Bradley. She was united in marriage to Homer Bradley Jr. on December 9, 1946.

Mrs. Bradley was retired from Genesco and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee.

Mrs. Bradley departed this life on Friday, September 6, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 3 Months, 30 Days.

She is survived by her husband, Homer Bradley Jr. of Waynesboro, TN; a son, Terry Bradley and wife, Carolyn of Waynesboro, TN; a daughter, Kathy Bradley Risner of Charles Town, IN; grandchildren, Christy Bradley Prater and husband, Kenneth and Amy Risner Henry and husband, Andy; great- grandchildren, Randy, Shawn, Bradley, and Katey Risner, Dakota and Kenlyn Prater; and Hannah Haddock; a sister, Emma Nola Byrd Coxwell of Decatur, AL; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bradley was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Dale Bradley; a grandchild, Kevin Risner; and brothers, Calvin and Marshall Byrd.

Services will be held on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Whitney Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Methodist Cemetery, Lawrenceburg (Wayne County), Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Jim Byrd, Milton Byrd, Joey Coxwell, Kenneth Prater, Michael Byrd, and Ray Prater. Honorary pallbearers will be John Galbreath, Herbert Brewer, Sterling Glass, and Randy Risner.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 5:30 pm to 8 pm and Monday, September 9, 2013 from 8 am until 10:15 am at Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro, TN.
