Betty Jo Austin departed this life on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at the age of 73 years, 8 months, and 22 days. She was born in Tennessee on January 24, 1946, the daughter of the late William Homer Holland and Ruby Mae Smith Wesson. On May 22, 1970, she was united in marriage to Terry Ray Austin, who preceded her in death on September 5, 2010.

Betty Jo had worked at Tri-County Nursing Home for 9 years and other various garment factories for over 20 years. She was a member of Christian Assembly United Pentecostal Church in Adamsville, Tennessee. Betty Jo enjoyed watching Walker Texas Ranger, Blue Bloods, and westerns. She loved spending time with her family and going to church.

She is survived by her children, Sandra Austin Beatty of Enville, Tennessee, Brian Austin and his wife Helen of Saltillo, Tennessee, and Brad Austin and his wife Lyndsi of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; brothers, Robert Holland of Selmer, Tennessee and Joe Neal Holland of Savannah, Tennessee; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; and special niece, Misty Buss of Saltillo, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty Jo was preceded in death by a daughter, Patty Renee Austin; brothers, William Danny Holland and Leon Holland; and grandchildren, Kyle Cagle, Zachary Cagle, and Jesse Austin.
