Betsy Beshires

Henderson: Betsy Conder Newman Beshires, age 56, died December 6, 2008 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.She was born in Chester County and reared in Enville, the daughter of the late Quinten Algea and Lois Madge Conder Newman. She attended schools in Chester County and graduated Chester County High School in 1970, and graduated Freed-Hardeman University in 1997 with a Master of Education and was enrolled in Union University to receive her Doctorate. She had taught in the Chester County School System for twelve years. Betsy was an Adjutant Professor at Jackson State Community College and loved to learn, teach and spend time with her children. She was a member of the Tennessee Education Association. She was a member of the Henderson Church of Christ and had taught (2nd) grade Sunday School Class at Church. She was chairman of the Chester County Republican Party.She is survived by a son, Lance Beshires and a daughter, Sara Beth Beshires Connor and husband Kyle all of Henderson; two brothers, Don Newman of Memphis and Jason Newman of Henderson and a sister, Madga Young of Luray.
