Mrs. Carter passed away Monday afternoon at Woodcrest of Blakeford in Nashville.
She and her husband owned and operated Carter’s Liberty Super Market in Bolivar, TN for many years, retiring in 1982. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bessie Harvell, her beloved husband Vernon Carter, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Sammons, granddaughter Kimberly Sammons, two great grandchildren, Madison and Alex Wissert, all of Nashville, TN; sisters, Katherine DeBerry (Gordon), Gallatin, TN, Johnnie Cofer (Joe), Bolivar, TN. Nieces, Manon Stephenson, Nashville, Jeannie Boldt, Waukesha, WI, Nephews, Ron DeBerry, Gallatin, and Ricky Cofer, Altus, OK.
