Bertha D. Pickett

Enville: Bertha D. Moore Pickett, age 93, died August 10, 2008, at McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer.



She was born and reared in the Sweetlips Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late Earnest Logan and Lula Jane Miller Moore. She was married to Woodrow Wilson Pickett. Mr. Pickett farmed and operated a sawmill in the Enville area. Mr. Pickett died in 1979 and Mrs. Pickett continued to make her home at Enville.



She is survived by three sons, E.W. Pickett and wife Bessie of Milledgeville, Quay Pickett and wife Doris of Henderson and Terry Pickett and wife Beverly of Bethel Springs; three daughters, Carolyn Johnson and husband Bryant of South Haven, MS, Freeda Alexander and husband Roger and Glenda Alexander and husband Stanley all of Milledgeville; one brother, R. L. Moore of Medina; sixteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
