BERTHA GARNER
Selmer, TN: Bertha Mae Garner age 87 passed away December 25, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born May 23, 1931 in McNairy County and grew up in Bethel Springs, the daughter of the late Arnold and Addie Adaline Miller Kirk. She was married to Franklin Garner who preceded her in death. She worked for Salant & Salant in Henderson as a seamstress for thirty-five years. She loved making dresses and spending time with her nieces and a nephew.
Mrs. Garner is survived by a brother, W.L. Kirk of Henderson and several nieces and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Franklin Garner, a brother, James Arnold Kirk and three sisters, Evelyn McDaniel, Sarah Lambert and Peggy Edwards.
Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Friday, December 28, 2018 at Lake Hill Memory Gardens.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
