BERTHA WILKERSON FRANKS
Was born in Olive Hill, Tennessee on March 5, 1921 the daughter of the late Lovie Lovine Wilkerson.
On May 5, 1945 she was united in marriage to Robert Leonard Franks, who preceded his wife in death on May 14, 1971.
Mrs. Franks lived in Humboldt, Tennessee for several years. She worked for Brown Shoe Company in Humboldt, Tennessee and Parris Manufacturing in Savannah, Tennessee. Mrs. Franks enjoyed crossword puzzles and word search. She loved her animals. Mrs. Franks took care of 3 aunts and one uncle.
She departed this life on August 21, 2006 at the Savannah Healthcare in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 85 years, 5 months and 16 days.
Mrs. Franks is survived by 5 nieces, Linda Vandiver and her husband Keith of Savannah, Tennessee, Pearl Heltsley, Patricia Partin, Marie Spiller and her husband Allen and Wilma Gill and her husband Terry, all of Marion, Illinois.
2 nephews, J. C. Wilkerson of West City, Illinois and Charles Leonard and his wife Chris of Washington, Illinois.
One brother-in-law, Shelby Leonard of Marion, Illinois.
Other than her husband and mother, Mrs. Franks was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Icie Leonard, 2 nephews, Johnny Leonard and Shelby E. Leonard and 2 nephew-in-laws, Lynn Heltsley and Harold Partin.
