Bernice Aline Williams

Bernice Williams was born August 04, 1919 in Finger, TN the daughter of the late Fuller and Velma Browder Hysmith.



She was united in marriage to Ward Raymond Williams on September 17, 1938. Mr. Williams preceded her in death in October of 1986.



Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and a member of the Finger church of Christ in Finger TN. Some of her favorite pastimes were watching soap operas, playing with her dog Bufford, and spending time with her family.



Mrs. Williams departed this life on December 31, 2012 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 4 Months, 17 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Lou (Williams) Fortune of Odessa, TX; a son, Earl Williams and wife Martha of Finger, TN; two sisters, Beulah Vandiver and Willie Morton; six grandchildren: Jerry Slaughter and wife Lisa of El Paso, TX, John Fortune of Odessa, TX, Jason Fortune of Odessa, TX, Janet Carrillo and husband Luis of San Antonio, TX, Debbie Williams of Finger, TN, and Randy Williams of Finger, TN; eighteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.



In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by three sisters: Gladys Tacker, Emma Maness, and Charlene Jones; three brothers: Tommy Hysmith, Eddy Hysmith, and John D. Hysmith; and a grandson, Johnny Williams.
