Mrs. Shaver died Friday afternoon at the Bolivar General Hospital.
A native of Rubicon, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Leonard and Erma Siegman. On June 8, 1949, she married Rev. Elmer Eldon Shaver and moved to Middleton in 1950. Rev. Shaver died February 2, 1998. Mrs. Shaver received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Mt. Sinai School of Nursing in Milwaukee and was a registered nurse having worked at the hospitals in Selmer, Bolivar and Ripley, MS.
She is survived by three daughters, Grace Crosley and husband, Roy, Martha Simmons and husband, Keith, both couples of Washington, DC, and Mary Ruth Funderburk and husband, Larry, of Alamo, TN; five sons, Paul Shaver and wife, Lois, of Covington, David Shaver and wife, Bertica, of Kansas City, KS, John Shaver and wife, Iris, of Montgomery, AL, Phillip Shaver and wife, Paula, of Memphis, and Stephen Shaver, also of Memphis; two sisters, Pearl Cizney and Marilyn Guenther, both of Wisconsin; one brother, Leonard Siegman of Wisconsin; fifteen grandchildren.
