Bernice Dickey

BERNICE DICKEYwas born in Savannah, Tennessee on February 23, 1921 the daughter of the late Tom and Mae Harris Ables.On March 2, 1940 she was united in marriage to Samuel Vernon Dickey, who preceded his wife in death on December 17, 1996.Mrs. Dickey retired after 22 years from Burnham Glove Factory in Michigan City, Indiana. She was a member of Crossroads Union Church.Mrs. Dickey departed this life on December 21, 2011 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 90 years, 9 months and 28 days.She is survived by one son, Tony R. Dickey and his wife Sharon of Brandon, Floridaone daughter, Wilma Carolyn Tompach and her husband James of Savannah, Tennessee8 grandchildren, Lynette Clouse, Douglas McDermott, Shannon Dickey, Gregory Dickey, Bradley Dickey, Tim Tompach, Nancy Heisler and Karen Tompach9 great grandchildren, Joshua Dickey, Abigail Clouse, Jack McDermott, Julia McDermott, Rayna Tompach, Riley Tompach, Ella Tompach, Haley Heisler and Logan Heisler2 great great grandchildren, Libby White and Adam WhiteIn addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Willie Dickey and one sister, Burma Umphrey
