Benny Holt

Benny Holt, Collinwood, TN, was born October 11, 1943 in Dell, AR, the son of the late John Robert and Versie Butler Holt. Mr. Holt was a retired assembly line worker from Murray Ohio manufacturing and was of the Christian faith.

Mr. Holt departed this life on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 4 Months, 11 Days.

He is survived by his companion, Diane Overstreet of Collinwood, TN; daughters, Lana Gallaher and Connie Holt both of Collinwood, TN, Brandi Holt Qualls and husband, Matt of Spring Hill, TN and Felicia Overstreet Hill and husband, Buddy of Cypress Inn, TN; grandchildren, Kayla Skillern, Lauren Marks, Shallen Brown, Raeann Jones and Spencer and Weston Qualls; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ollie Holt, wife, Fleeta Mae of Collinwood, TN, Rollie Holt of Cypress Inn, TN, Harley Holt, wife, Daffo of Collinwood, TN, Joe Holt, wife, Donna of Ethridge, TN, John Holt, Jr., wife, Peggy of Collinwood, TN; sisters, Dolly Holt Johnson and Polly Holt Parker both of Florence, AL; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Holt was preceded in death by four infant brothers and a grandson, Justin Brown.

Services will be Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with John E. Banks officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Cody Holt, Chris Holt, Shane Holt, Brent Holt, Sammy Holt and Cable Holt. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Williams and Paul Hammack.

Visitation will be Monday, April 24, 2017 from 7-9 pm and Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.
