BARNEY FAY GODWIN
Was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 15, 1936 the son of the late Hershel Jefferson and Macie Ellen Young Godwin.
Mr. Godwin retired from APAC Asphalt Company. He worked for Ingrim Barge Company for several years. He was a member of New Life Pentecostal Church. Mr. Godwin liked going to church, watching sports, helping people when he could and taking care of stray animals and feeding the wildlife around his home.
He departed this life on February 18, 2006 at his residence in Crump, Tennessee at the age of 69 years, 2 months and 3 days.
Mr. Godwin is survived by 4 sisters, Mevelyne Harrison and Frankie Johnson, both of Savannah, Tennessee, Mae Dell Shelton of Downey, California and Elizabeth Austin of Lexington, Tennessee.
5 brothers, Leon Godwin of Savannah, Tennessee, Nelson Godwin of Jackson, Tennessee, Larry Godwin of Selmer, Tennessee, Kenneth Godwin of Savannah, Tennessee and Roy Godwin of Collierville, Tennessee
Mr. Godwin was also preceded in death by one child, Jeremy Godwin.
