Barbara Ann Snyder

Barbara Ann Snyder, beloved wife, mother and grandmother was called home by her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the age of 90.  Mrs. Snyder was born February 25, 1933, in Whiteville, Tennessee to Elbert and Brookie Sammons.

As a junior girl, during a Vacation Bible School, Mrs. Snyder accepted Christ as her Savior.  She has been a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church for 52 years.  Mrs. Snyder loved people, so the job as Church Secretary fit her perfectly for over 40 years.  She was involved in many ministries of the church - Sunday School Teacher (45 years), Jail Ministry, College Dorm Mom (20 years) as well as the Nursery and Choir ministry.

Mrs. Snyder loved her family.  She especially loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Snyder was also known as "Granny" to her church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Sammons and Brookie Bach; her husband, Warren Snyder; and her sisters, Jean Story and Mary Jo Snyder.

She is survived by a sister, Ann Marie Canale; a son, Tim Snyder; a daughter, Kim Westmoreland; five grandchildren, Lisa Zwasta, Heather Sexton, Michael Snyder, Jason Snyder and Ryan Westmoreland; and six great-grandchildren.
