Barbara Louise Foster Reeves passed away July 27, 2019 in Silerton, Tennessee. Barbara was born June 10, 1950 in Syracuse, New York to Marty and Kathryn Foster.
Her life will be honored by family and friends on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Silerton Baptist Church. Burial will be at Silerton Cemetery.
Although not a native of Tennessee, she made it her home for 38 years, and 30 of those years in her family community of Silerton. She served her community as a city alderman for 10 years and as a volunteer of the Silerton Fire Department.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Kay Williams.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Steve Reeves; her son, Kevin (Becky) Bradshaw; her daughter, Shelly (Chris) Butler; stepdaughter, Farah Reed; brother, Pete (Linda) Foster; six grandchildren, Madison, Jake, Bailey, Chaston, Jonathan and Kimberly; two great-grandchildren, Kately and Mya; and four nieces and nephews, Vicki, Brian, Tracy and Keith.
She loved to crochet and shared her talent and love with many in every stitch. She loved flowers and plants, and could coax the most reluctant plant to grow and bloom. She loved her puppies and would go to great lengths to ensure their care. Most of all, she loved her family.
Charitable contributions made in Mrs. Reeves' memory may be sent to Hardeman Adoptable Animals (www.hardemanadoptableanimals.org/donate) or Silerton Baptist Church.
