Barbara Joyce Bevis Hunt

Barbara Joyce Bevis Hunt of Lutts, TN was born June 30, 1935 at Bevis Ridge, Lutts, TN, the daughter of the late Willie Robert and Artie Lea Erwin Bevis. She married Bobby Gene Hunt, January 24, 1955 and he preceded her in death, May 29, 2017.

Mrs. Hunt was retired from Angelica, Collinwood Manufacturing and was a member of Bevis Church of Christ, Lutts, Tennessee and departed this life, Monday, April 30, 2018 in Lutts, Tennessee at the home of her sister, surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 82 years, 10 months.

She is survived by a son, Danny Hunt and daughters, Angela Hunt Bogus, husband, Derrell and Rhonda Hunt Brewer all of Lutts, TN; grandchildren, Shane Darby, wife, Stephanie, Keysha Scott, husband, Mike, Danielle Alexander, Devin Hunt, Jasmine Hunt, Santana Hunt, Misty Cottrell; great-grandchildren, Easton, Azurae, Mason, Brayden, Kylie, Alora, Cole and Cassie; a sister, Louise Bevis of Lutts, TN; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Bevis and a sister, Wanda June Hayes.

Services will be Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Adam Cox and Wayne Barrier officiating. Burial will follow in Balentine Cemetery, Lutts, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Visitation will be Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 10 am until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Shane Darby, Devin Hunt, Mike Scott, Daniel Brison, Darrin Bogus and Larry Wright.
