Barbara Smith Goodman was born August 4, 1930 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Guy Phillip and Minola Pearl Dickey Smith.
She was united in marriage to James Goodman on September 30, 1969. Mr. Goodman preceded her in death on June 2, 1997.
Mrs. Goodman was a homemaker and was a member of the Christian Assembly Pentecostal Church in Adamsville.
Mrs. Goodman departed this life on July 5, 2010 in Stantonville, Tennessee at the age of 79 Years, 11 Months, 1 Day. She is survived by three daughters: Mary Lou Elam and husband Gerald, Jr. of Stantonville, TN, Donna Parrot and husband Joey, Sr. of Adamsville, TN, and Wanda Crawford and husband James of Saltillo, TN; a step-daughter, Mollie Kintop and husband John of Rockford, IL; three step-sons; Danny Goodman and wife Marcia of Louisville, TN, Cletis Goodman and wife Judy of Rockford, IL, and Jesse Goodman of Fort White, FL; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren 9 step-great-grandchildren; four sisters: Shirley Hornbuckle of Stantonville, TN, Kay Hornbuckle of Stantonville, TN, Ruby Jamerson of Etowah, TN, and Bonnie Freeman of Detroit, MI; and a host of extended family friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Goodman was preceded in death by a grandchild, Latisha Doyle, and two brothers, William Smith and Aubrey Smith.
