Barbara Kay Erskine departed this life on Monday, April 18, 2016, at the age of 76 years, 1 month, and 5 days. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on March 13, 1940, the daughter of the late Stephen and Myrtle Isminger Blodgett. On April 13, 1955, she was united in marriage to Donald Lee Erskine, who preceded her in death on December 20, 2009.
Barbara was a special needs bus driver with Orange County Public Schools in Orlando, Florida. She had also lived in St. Petersburg, Florida. She loved her rose gardens.
She is survived by her sons, Carl Ray Erskine of Savannah, Tennessee and Gary Dean Erskine of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee; a brother, Roy Blodgett of Grand Bay, Alabama; a sister, Frances Lane of St. Petersburg, Florida; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John Blodgett and Riley Blodgett; a grandchild and great grandchild.
