BARBARA ALEXANDER BURNS



was born in Leeds, Alabama on May 31, 1952 the daughter of the late Robert Leslie and Mamie Marie Elmore Alexander.



On March 1, 1987 she was united in marriage to Ronnie Lee Burns, who preceded his wife in death on December 8, 2008.



Mrs. Burns worked for American Food Service for 5 years as a Metal Finisher. She was a member of Nixon Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Burns enjoyed flower gardening and she enjoyed and loved her family.



She departed this life on May 1, 2010 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 57 years, 11 months and 1 day.



Mrs. Burns is survived by 2 daughters, Sherry Qualls and her husband Joe and Mary Scott and her husband Mark, all of Savannah, Tennessee



4 sisters, Darlene Lanier and her husband Chris of Helena, Alabama, Myra Todd and her husband David of Savannah, Tennessee, Patricia Urick and her husband Jim of Pell City, Alabama and Vira Dyers and her husband David of Leeds, Alabama



4 brothers, Jerry Alexander and his wife Annette of Midfield, Alabama, Johnny Alexander and his wife Virginia of Midfield, Alabama, Randy Alexander and his wife Becky of Helena, Alabama and Donald Alexander and his wife Anjeanette of Leeds, Alabama



3 step sisters, Tammy Richardson of Abita Springs, Louisiana, Donna Alexander of Anniston, Alabama and Tonya McGaha of Pell City, Alabama



her step mother, Sharon Alexander of Leeds, Alabama



4 grandchildren, Cody Qualls, Tabitha Scott, Katlin Qualls and Alexis Scott



2 step grandchildren, Alyssa Scott and Casey Scott and 4 step great grandchildren, Bryson, Brendon, Bailey and Kaidence



Mrs. Burns is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews



In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Ray Alexander
