Austin Blake Riley Melson

Austin Blake Riley Melson departed this life on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at the age of 20 years, 7 months, and 27 days. He was born in Selmer, Tennessee on August 19, 1997, the son of Brian Melson and Teresa Austin Ervin.

Blake was an active member of the US Army Reserve 663 Engineer Company out of Florence, Alabama and employed with Corecivic in Clifton, Tennessee as a Correctional Sergeant. He was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. Blake loved to fish and hunt.

He is survived by his mother, Teresa Austin Ervin of Clifton, Tennessee; father, Brian Melson and his wife Kim of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Brittany Melson and her fiancé Corey Young of Tampa, Florida; step sister, Lilli Stanfill of Savannah, Tennessee; grandparents, Ricky and Elva Dicus of Clifton, Tennessee, Ben and Christine Melson of Savannah, Tennessee; great grandmother, Ruby DeShazier of Savannah, Tennessee; girlfriend, Geneva Shannon of Savannah, Tennessee; and a multitude of friends.

Blake was preceded in death by his grandfather, Willie Austin and great grandfather, John Melson.
