Aunt Maude DeBerry

Aunt Maude DeBerrywas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 19, 1908 the daughter of the late Herring and Cennie Dobbins Hurst.On September 5, 1932 she was united in marriage to Haskell Harbour DeBerry, who preceded her in death on July 29, 1997.In addition to Hardin County, Ms. DeBerry had also lived Jackson, Tennessee for several years and owned Northwood Grocery before retiring. She was a member of Sunshine FCE Club, Farm Bureau, Woodmen of the World, and a member of Robertson Chapel United Methodist Church for 75 years. She loved her church and being with people. Ms. DeBerry enjoyed reading,crocheting, knitting, and she was a very good seamstress. Ms. DeBerry departed this life on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the age of 100 years, 1 month, 16 days.Ms. DeBerry is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband and parents, Ms DeBerry was preceded in death 2 sisters, Mazie Kerr and Louella Wolfe; 4 Brothers, Wylie Hurst, Cherry Hurst, Jess Allen Hurst, and Virgil Hurst.
