Services for Audrey Ruth Dixon Burkhead Mitchell, age 66, of Iron City, TN, will be Monday, May 8, 2006, at 3:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood, TN with Ronnie Lawson and Tim Hanback officiating. Burial will be in Railroad Cemetery, Iron City, TN, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Mitchell died Thursday, May 4, 2006 in Wayne County, TN.
She was a former bookkeeper for an auction house and was a member of Fairview Freewill Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Clemeth and Thelma Mae Sharp Dixon and wife of the late James Burkhead.
Survivors, husband, James (Chubby) Mitchell, sons, Manuel and Wyman May, all of Iron City, TN; daughters, Rebecca Peden, Rogersville, AL, Debra Litral, Florence, AL; brother, Robert Dixon, Iron City, TN; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren
