Atha Lou Smith

Atha Lou Smithwas born in McNairy County, Tennessee on March 21, 1921 the daughter of the late Oliver and Lizzie Henley.In 1936 she was united in marriage to Millard Smith, who preceded her in death January 1984.Ms. Smith was a supervisor at Garan Manufacturing and a member of the First Baptist Church in Adamsville, Tennessee. She loved to sew and go to church.Ms. Smith departed this life on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at the age of 87 years, 7 months, 30 days.Ms. Smith is survived by a sister: Mary Ann Cooksey of Adamsville, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, Ms. Smith was preceded in death by a son: Millard Andrew Clayton Smith; 7 brothers and sisters; 5 grandchildren: Tammy Smith, Telia Smith, Shelia Daniels, Cindi Myrick, and Tina Smith.
