Arvil Blankenship age 84 passed on Friday night at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born in Henderson County son of the late,Homer and Estelle Grissom Blankenship.He was married to Earlene Young in 1947 Mrs. Blankenship died on December 6, 2008. They had made their home in the Middlefork Community of Henderson County. Mr. Blankenship was a W.W.II Veteran. He had served on the board for The Farm Bureau and the Farmers Co-op. He was a member of the Unity Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, and on many committees.
He is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Holmes of Middlefork and a son Danny Blankenship of Henderson; Grandchildren Danielle Burns and Jason Holmes, sisters Ilene Page of Huron, Rebecca Rhodes of Savannah, Bobbie White of Destin Florida; brothers Elvis Blankenship of Charlottesville Va.,JW Blankenship Parsons, Johnny Blankenship of Lexington, and CF Blankenship of Union City; and four great grandchildren.
