Arthur Wilkerson

Arthur Wilkersonwas born in Lutts, Tennessee on August 27, 1924 the son of the late Frank (Tinte) and Lizzie Cummings Wilkerson.Mr. Wilkerson had worked for Hassell's Lumber Company, Angelica, and as a farmer. He liked to hunt, farm, and being around people. He attended church on Sunday's at Park Rest Nursing Home and was baptized at Soul's Harvest Church. he had lived in the Old Town Community and the Turkey Creek Community.Mr. Wilkerson departed this life at the Hardin County Nursing Home on Friday, May 15, 2009 at the age of 84 years, 8 months, 18 days.Nell Mr. Wilkerson is survived by his former wife, Ruby Benson Dennis; 2 sons, Dennis Wilkerson and wife Mary Ann, Daniel (Pete) Wilkerson and wife Judy all of Savannah, Tennessee; 3 daughters, Margaret Benson and husband Jerry, Mary Frazier and husband Danny all of Savannah, Irene Hurley and husband Billy Jo of Stantonville, Tennessee; a sister, Ollie Franks of Savannah, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilkerson was preceded in death by a son, James Wilkerson; 3 brothers, Bill, Lank, and Ed Wilkerson; a sister, Susie Wilkerson; 3 grandchildren.
