Arthur Wyatt Wells, 17, of Hickory Valley, died Monday morning, April 23, 2007 at Bolivar General Hospital.
Born August 19, 1989 in Memphis, the son of Alan Kenneth Wells and Trina Renee DeHaas Wells of Hickory Valley, and lived here for the past ten years. He was a home school student in his third year of high school at Gateway Christian and was very active at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship and with the 4-H Club where he was a state officer. He was an Eagle Scout, enjoyed hunting and sports, especially the New England Patriots, and was an avid reader. His family stated that he was very friendly and big hearted.
In addition to his parents, survivors include two sisters, Rebecca and Rachael Wells and one brother, Alex Wells, all of Hickory Valley; his maternal grandparents, William and Patricia DeHaas of Moores Hill, Ind. and paternal grandfather, Fred Wells of Jackson; cousins, Stephanie Jacobs, Craig, Sarah and Zach Gorman, Kenny, Grant and Amy Eaton; aunts and uncles, Kim and Chuck Jones, Steve and Cathy Gorman, Bill and Julie Eaton. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Julia C. Wells.
