Arnita Rumbaugh

Services for Arnita Sanders Rumbaugh will be Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Collinwood with Gary Hodum and John Hodum officiating. Burial will follow in the McGlamery Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.



Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.



Mrs. Rumbaugh was born September 5, 1921 in Rogersville, AL the daughter of the late Richard Gerald and Elizabeth Rice Sanders. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rumbaugh was preceded in death by a son, David Lee Rumbaugh; three brothers, William, Otis, and Gerald Sanders; four sisters, Wanethe Phillips, Vertie Mae Pigg, Elois Stults, and Elenea Brewer. Mrs. Rumbaugh died Monday, December 10, 2012 at Wayne County Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 3 Months, 5 Days. She was married to James T. Rumbaugh December 19, 1942, he preceded her May 13, 1996. Mrs. Rumbaugh, a homemaker, was previously a member of Collinwood Church of God of Prophecy, however in later years had changed her membership to Hickory Springs Holiness Church.



She is survived by a son, James Coy Rumbaugh of Collinwood, TN; ten daughters, Gail Risner of Collinwood, TN, Kay Holt of Westpoint, TN, Joyce Staggs of Lawrenceburg, TN, Peggy Pigg of Collinwood, TN, Kathy Pitts of Collinwood, TN, Rhonda Malone of Savannah, TN, Janice Pigg of Lawrenceburg, TN, Connie Pulley of Collinwood, TN, Sandra Risner of Collinwood, TN, Pamela Pigg of Cypress Inn, TN; 33 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Audrey Hudgins of Waynesboro, TN and Betty Phillips of Athens, AL; several nieces and nephews.
