Funeral services for Arlie E. (Jack) Wright, age 85, of Franklin, TN will be One p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Waynesboro, TN with Carl Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens in Collinwood, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge.
Mr. Wright, a native of Wayne County, died on Monday, April 23, 2007 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, TN. He was a son of the late Jesse Buyon Wright and Sarah Catherine O’Neal Wright. Mr. Wright, a veteran of World War II, served in the U.S. Army as a mechanic and later served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. In the 1940’s Mr. Wright was manager of the Packard Dealership and later was manager at Gib Bergstrum both in Detroit, Michigan. During the 1970’s and 1980’s, he owned 3 car lots in the Detroit area. While living in Detroit, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife; Sallie Lucille Tripp Wright of Franklin, TN; daughter, Linda Anne Wright Barnes of San Diego, California; and a son, David Michael Wright, Sr. of Flint, Michigan; grandchildren, Melissa Ardelean of Davidson, Michigan and David Michael Wright, Jr. of Royal Oak, Michigan; and a great granddaughter, Allyson Ardelean; and a sister, Irene Riedout of Florence, AL; and several nieces and nephews
