Arlene King

Arlene King was born May 16, 1924 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late George Andrew and Rachel Ann Price King.

She was united in marriage to K C King on December 13, 1945. Mr. King preceded her in death on September 21, 1984.

Mrs. King was a member of Selmer Sanctified Church. She was a wonderful homemaker and mother. She loved cooking desserts among which was the best chocolate pie and cake and sweet potato cobbler. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, and tending her flowers but most of all she loved her family.

Mrs. King departed this life on August 22, 2014 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 3 Months, 6 Days.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Dewberry and husband Carl of Selmer, TN, Sandy Tucker and husband Doyle of Bethel Springs, TN, Tammy Dillon and husband Mike of Selmer, TN; five grandchildren, Amy Smith, Lance Tucker, Cole Dillon, Deirdre White and husband Steven, Spencer Dewberry and wife Tami; a grt-grandchild, Hayden Tucker and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by eight sisters and four brothers.
