Ardys Virginia Carter

Ardys Virginia Walsh Carter was born May 5, 1916 in Walkerton, Indiana the daughter of the late Thomas B. and Josephine Holderman Walsh.She was united in marriage to William J. Carter in 1933. Mr. Carter preceded her in death in 2005 after 72 years of marriage.Mrs. Carter was a homemaker, and was an active and faithful member of the Woodland Presbyterian Church in Memphis, Tennessee.Mrs. Carter departed this life on February 11, 2008 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 9 Months, 6 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Joanne Taube of Kankakee, IL; six grandchildren: Joe Lee Wyatt, David Walls, Kathryn Walls, Joyce (Walls) Taylor, John Taube and Janette (Taube) Edgerton; ten great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Carter was also preceded in death by two daughters and two son-in-laws.
