Anthony Hopkins was born August 3, 1961 in Corinth, MS the son of the late Billy and Donna Barnes Hopkins.
He was united in marriage to Nancy Barnes on July 22, 1991.
Anthony, known to most of his family and friends as "Hop" was a strong leader both at work and home. He had a brilliant mind for business and owned several successful businesses over the years, including Hop's Pizza Pub (people still talk about the pizza), Racetrac - State Line Speedway, and H&R Commercial Maintenance. In his younger years, he worked at American Renovations, Inc. (ARI), establishing lifelong friendships with his co-workers.
Anthony was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt - deer, turkey and dove. As much as he loved to hunt, he also loved riding around. Anthony was a loving and devoted son, husband, brother, father, and grandfather.
Anthony departed this life on April 20, 2022 in Guys, TN at the age of 60 Years, 8 Months, 17 Days. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Nancy Hopkins of Guys, TN; his children, Billy Bob Hopkins and wife Katie of Medina, TN, Brent Redmon and wife Rachel of Ramer, TN, and Bridgette Johnson and husband Joey of Counce, TN; six grandchildren: Chloe Johnson, Addie Redmon, Ella Johnson, Will Redmon, Annie Redmon, and Tess Hopkins; two sisters, Vicki Holt and husband Jere of Nashville, TN and Tracy Redmon of Selmer, TN; a brother, Marty Hopkins and wife Kelly of Madison, MS; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bobby Redmon.
