ANNIE RUTH YOUNGwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on April 22, 1911 the daughter of the late Charlie S. and Mary Icie Seaton Young.Miss Young worked for Brown Shoe Company for 13 years as a fancy stitcher. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women. She worked for Fisher Aircraft during World War II. Miss Young was a expert seamstress and cook. She cared for foster children and was a faithful church member.Miss Young departed this life on March 17, 2008 at Park Rest Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 96 years, 10 months and 24 days.She is survived by one foster daughter, Lisa Wilkerson of Savannah, Tennessee.2 nieces, Esther Gurkin of Moscow, Tennessee and Doris Hudson of Savannah, Tennessee2 nephews, Lawrence L. Smith of Savannah, Tennessee and Rev. Frank Smith of Columbia, Tennessee.12 great nieces and nephewsOther than her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Mamie Young Smith, Cordie Young, Mary Young and Lilly Young, 3 brothers, Burr Young, Paul Young and Jamie Young and one great nephew, John Hudson.
