Annie Laura Burns Stricklinwas born on November 11, 1919 in Wayne County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Tom Hays Burns and Mary Willie Stout Burns.On January 17, 1938 she was united in marriage to Pete Stricklin, who preceded her in death in March of 1982. Mrs. Stricklin was a homemaker who loved quilting and shopping. She was a member of Holland's Creek United Methodist Church. She departed this life on May 28, 2007 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 17 days.Mrs. Stricklin is survived by a daughter, Betty Shelby of Savannah, Tennessee;13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren;and three sisters: Nannie Mae Lambert and Pauline Cox, both of Iuka, Mississippi and Effie Dean Hilton of Glen, Mississippi.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three daughters: Linda Carol Hindman, Virginia Wilder and Nancy Stricklin; one son, Jimmy Stricklin; four grandchildren: Donnie, Timmy and Tracy Wilkerson, and Becky Wilkerson; one great-grandchild, Wesley Stricklin; one sister, Hazelle Skelton and two brothers: Thomas and Leo Burns.
