She was born in Medon, TN (Madison County) the daughter of the late George Washington and Sallie Bell Maroney Clark. She went to school at Medon and Malesus and graduated Fairview High School in Jackson. She was married to D.L. Murley in 1945. They made their home in Deanburg until 1961 when they moved to Memphis. She was the Nursery Cordinator of the Whitehaven Baptist Church. Mr. Murley worked for the Tennessee Air National Guard. They moved back to Deanburg in 1988. She was a member of the Deanburg Community Club and a member of the Bethel Baptist Chruch.
She is survived by her husband D.L. Murley, Jr; a son John D. Murley and wife Lynn of Southhaven, MS; a daughter Linda Murley Oliveira and husband Cody of Cordova, TN; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters Beatrice Daniels of N.C. and Jean Murley and husband James of Lawrenceburg, TN.
