Anna Wade
was born in Central City, Kentucky on July 28, 1919 the daughter of the late Thomas and Lizzy Belle Stanley Arndell.
On June 21, 1942 she was united in marriage to Elmer L. Wade, who preceded her in death on September 8, 2004.
Ms. Wade had lived in Bloomington, Illinois for 40 to 45 years. She worked for a private practice child care facility and retired from Unarco Corporation where she worked on the assembly line. She then moved to Savannah, Tennessee where she lived for 30 years, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Corinth, Mississippi. Ms. Wade loved working with her hands making quilts, blankets, inspiring others to be creative, and the love of her life Muffin. She was determined and had many strengths.
Ms. Wade departed this life on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the age of 89 years, 1 month, 9 days.
Ms. Wade is survived by a daughter, Sharon Lesher of Savannah, Tennessee; a son, John D. Wade of Placentia, California; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie LeeKieta Beutow; 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
