Anna E. Neely, age 94 of Bolivar, passed from this life Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.The widow of James Alexander Neely, who died in 1976, she was born December 2, 1913 in Bolivar to the late Calvin and Mattie Tate Cochran Jones. She attended St. Katherine's School and Mississippi Synodical College in Holly Springs and graduated from Bell-Haven College and from Miss Finch's Finishing Schol in New York. She was a member of DAR, APTA and volunteered at Western Mental Health Institute. She also took her "grand tour" trip around the world before World War II and actually met Hitler. She was a member of the Bolivar Presbyterian Church.Survivors include three nieces, Monita Carlin of Bolivar, Louise McAnulty Manhein of Bolivar and Jo McAnulty of Carrolton, GA; and several great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Calvin Jones.
